Yes! Many lactation consultations are covered at 100% through insurance, others ask for a small co-payment.
I work with several insurance providers, including Medicaid Colorado and other qualifying plans. Coverage varies depending on your insurance.
If you have Medicaid, please email your Medicaid ID number before booking so I can verify your coverage.

Initial consultations are typically 90 minutes. This allows enough time to:
Review your medical and feeding history
Observe a feeding
Perform a weighted feed (when appropriate)
Assess latch and milk transfer
Create an individualized feeding plan
Answer all of your questions
Follow-up visits are generally shorter, depending on your family's needs.

A travel fee may apply depending on your distance from Parker, Colorado.

Yes. Virtual visits are available for many breastfeeding and pumping concerns and are a convenient option for families who live outside the service area or prefer care from home.

For breastfeeding consultations, please have:
Your baby
Any breast pump(s) you use
Pump parts and flanges
Bottles you currently use
Nipple shields (if applicable)
Pacifier (if applicable)
Formula or expressed milk (if using)

If possible, try not to feed your baby immediately before your appointment. Arriving with your baby ready to feed allows me to observe a complete feeding and provide the most accurate assessment.

Yes. I perform comprehensive oral function assessments and evaluate how oral restrictions may be affecting feeding.
If appropriate, I will discuss treatment options and refer you to trusted providers when additional evaluation or a frenotomy is recommended. I also provide follow-up care, feeding support, and oral exercises when indicated.
